Chef Heather comes from a varied background, having been everything from a glaciologist to a lunch lady to serving A-list celebrities at Skywalker Ranch. And that’s what makes her such an essential part of the Sonoma Family Meal team, because Chef Heather is always ready to pitch in with a mop or make perfect appetizers for an event. Heather worked for over a decade in fine dining restaurants in the Bay Area doing everything from shucking oysters and plating desserts to planning large industry events like Farallon’s celebrated Pinot Fest. Those experiences gave her a wide base of cooking techniques, flavors, and knowledge of all the jobs that make a food establishment tick. Chef Heather joined the Sonoma Family Meal team in 2018, where she is the master of large-scale cooking, slayer of donated produce and patient guide of volunteers.
